Painting, weathering, and installation of the buildings were completed before the ballast was laid down on the layout. Then I ‘’seeded’’ Noch
artificial grass on the zones covered by the brown painted clay. This product is
made from nylon and therefore has an unnatural scale colour. I airbrushed thin layers of highly diluted XF-57
(Tan) on the lawn to give it a dried grass color, such as the one we can observe
at industrial zones at the end of the summer.

La peinture, la patine et l'installation des bâtiments a été complétée avant que le ballast soit posé sur le réseau. Par la suite, j'ai posé sur les parties peintes en brun de l'herbe artificielle de la marque Noch. Ce produit est fait à partir de nylon, et donc présente une couleur peu naturelle à l'échelle. J'ai donc décidé de la patiner avec des couches de peinture XF-57 (light tan) très diluée, pour donner une couleur d'herbes séchées, tel que l'on peu observer sur les terrains industriels à la fin de l'été.
